Meet The Sugar 'Dream Team'
(aka the Royalty)
Orchestrating the Sugar Art and Fashion Shows is no simple task. Luckily, we have an amazing staff to help us create these unique and memorable evenings. Make yourself acquainted with the hardworking and dedicated Sugar Staff and Crew.
Nicole Leitner
Stage Manager aka 'The Princess'
My name is Nicole Angelic Leitner. I am not surprise I ended up falling into SUGAR since Timmery (the founder) and my brother Nathan (business partner) are heading these amazing events. I myself am an artist and I love that these events have allowed me to completely surround myself in art. I am from Seattle, WA and have lived in Los Angeles for 10 years. I went to FIDM and majored in Visual Communications. I am a Costumer and primarily work on feature films but dab in the commercial world as well. SUGAR has given women a way to display/sell their artwork and it will never be mainstream, just the way I like it!!! Can you tell I am a fan ;) xoxo's Nicole
Candy Parker
Executive Assistant aka 'The Duchess'
I am Candy Parker... I have been working with 1981 Collection as a graphic designer and a vendor at local underground art shows for about 2 years...I think, it feels like forever, in a good way. What started as a design job, with my awesome friend and fellow FIDM alumni Timmery, turned into a world of opportunity in the art community. Currently 1981 Collection hosts the Sugar Art & Fashion Show! For the past three shows I have been on the Sugar Team working behind the scenes. Starting as the 1981 Collection vendor I have worked my way up to assisting Timmery and Nathan with whatever they need as well as a member of the Sugar Crew. Currently I help with the art portion of Sugar and keeping T sane. I help with finding new up and coming artists to feature, scheduling drop off and hanging the art itself. The Sugar series has been amazing and grows with every show I hope to continue to grow with it.
Whitney Wrobel
Public Relations
Born and raised in Chicago, Whitney Wrobel recently moved to LA to further her career in the fashion and makeup industry. She attended Columbia College, majoring in Fashion Design, but ultimately fell in love with runway production. After leaving Columbia, Whitney dabbled in cosmetology at the Aveda Institute, and also received her makeup artist's certificate. Along her journey, she made a connection that allowed her to body-paint, and work with extreme makeup applications. She hopes that by moving to Los Angeles more doors will be open to her. Thank you Sugar Art and Fashion!
Janelle Logrono
Currently a Visual Communication major at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. Jersey born and Texas raised she contains an ambitious and outgoing spirit. Growing up she participated in multiple sports and activities. Basketball being her strongest sport brought many awards, traveling and networking opportunities. In 2006, Janelle was recruited to be part of the People to People Student Ambassador Program. This program enabled youth to become more aware of cultures outside of their own while bringing peace to surrounding countries in Europe. Although she was on the medical path, the fashion and entertainment industry continued to inspire her life. Modeling is a fun activity she enjoys. Janelle has modeled for various designers and businesses such as Josette Golatt, Hollister Co. and Ella Shaw. “I give thanks to God. I have been very blessed to have had such opportunities. Falling short of a goal is not an option for me... In everything I do I take the positives with me and just keep on stepping.” As well as having a passion for the fashion and entertainment industry she enjoys helping the youth. She has coached for the 2009-2010 National Junior Basketball League. “My goal in life is to continue to be a positive influence by helping the youth expresses their creativity weather it is through simple activities like drawing or playing sports.” Janelle hopes to follow in the steps of her favorite mogul, Kimora Lee Simmons.
Charlotte Cahill
Repin' for Boston, Massachusetts, I've been in sunny California chasing the dream for about a year now. Before setting out for Cali, I received my BFA from Massachusetts College of Art in Sculpture and Metal-smithing(Jewelry). Since I've been here I've been exploring new forms of expression such as hiphop/break-dancing, graffiti, printmaking, and fashion. In short, soaking up the Cali experience. With a jewelry line in the works, I'm very excited to see all aspects of my artistic visions come to fruition. Until then, I'm keeping myself close to inspiring female artists who are really making things happen like Timmery, founder of Sugar art and Fashion. As far as my role in the Dream Team is concerned; I'm Timmery's right hand woman, learning from her and helping her with whatever she needs to make the evening possible.
